It isn’t herbicide tolerant crops that have necessarily lead to the emergence of resistant species or an increase in such emergence. The number of unique cases of herbicide resistant weeds has deceased since the widespread adoption of GM crops and many, often a majority, of these cases are from non-gmo crop land or sites.
